In its continuing effort to promote the conservation of our natural resources, the Washington County Soil Conservation District helps to educate the local community through various outreach methods. Working with students is one of the ways the Soil Conservation District accomplishes this. The following, lists of some of the activities geared for elementary through high school age, which the Conservation District can offer:

Note: Many of the activities just described involve things like soil, water, and other components like food dye, which have the potential to spill, or stain. Effort is made to keep the area as clean possible, but if desired, many of these activities are flexible and can be done either inside or outside as needed. Time frames listed are average, and can also be shifted to work with your schedules.
