Redhaven Peach

Redhaven is the all-time favorite of peach lovers for both canning, freezing, or eating fresh.

They are freestone, which means that the fruit comes free from the stone when peeled and excellent quality. Frost hardy. Needs fertile, well drained soils.

Self-fertile. Zones 5-8. Peaches are extremely vigorous trees requiring regular pruning and thinning. Tend to bloom early and may be difficult to crop in late frost areas.

Grows 15'-20'. Harvest July 1-July 10. Harvest 1st year.

Yellow Delicious Apple

Height: 18.00 to 25.00 feet Spread: 18.00 to 25.00 feet

Bloom Color:
White Sun: Full sun Water: Medium wet

General Culture:
Best grown in deep, loamy, moderately fertile, slightly acidic, medium wet, well-drained soils in full sun. Tolerates average garden soils, but unamended heavy clay soils which waterlog easily and drain poorly should be avoided. Generally, the more dwarfing the rootstock, the greater the need for soil fertility. Needs full sun for maximum flower and fruit production. More than one variety must be planted in order to facilitate best pollination and subsequent fruit production.

  • Excellent for eating, salads and sauce
  • Good for pies, baking and freezing

Red Delicious Apple

The old standard an excellent eating apple

Bartlett Pear

Mid season crop of big golden fruits, a favorite for eating fresh and equally good for canning.

Creamy white flesh. Harvest in August.

Forsythia

Forsythias are popular early spring flowering shrubs in the home landscape.

They are spring flowering shrubs, with yellow flowers.

They are grown and prized for being tough, reliable garden plants.

Chinese Chestnut

The Chinese Chestnut, Castanea mollissima, can be used as a nut tree and a shade tree, or planted in rows as a windbreak. The nuts are sweet-flavored and produce edible nuts in winter. This deciduous tree has moderate water requirements and it has a moderate tolerance to salt and alkali soils.

Landscapers plant the Chinese Chestnut as an ornamental. Chinese Chestnut trees do well in hot dry climates and are blight resistant. The foliage is dark green in summer.

This hardy tree will bear fruit in 7-8 years when placed on a good site. The dark green leaves are 5"-8" in length with a simple shape that turn yellow and gold in the fall. It produces edible chestnuts after establishment. The outer shell of the nut is prickly and must be removed.

This variety of chestnut is resistant to chestnut blight (but not immune). This tree tolerates heat, drought, transplanting, and dry and acidic soils.

Red Baron Crabapple

Height: 20', Spread: 15'

Flower: Deep Red Buds, Dark Red Flowers

Fruit: 1/2" Dark Red

Note: Columnar form in youth, gets broader with age

Snowdrift White Crabapple

"Snow Drift" Crabapple is a splendid tree and little pruning is required to develop a well-formed, rounded canopy.

There appears to be little variation in shape among trees of this cultivar, a characteristic which is coveted by landscape architects.

The bright white flowers in the spring give a refreshing look to the landscape and are followed by small, red-orange fruit eaten by birds.

Fall color is good, providing a dull yellow glow for two or three weeks.

Pres Grevy Lilac

This upright plant (12' tall and 8' wide) offers double lilac-blue flowers arranged in large panicles

Sensation Lilac

Desired for its large purplish-red flowers edged in white in spring.

Captivating fragrance is a bonus. Branches are erect and open with rich green foliage. Deciduous.

Full sun. Moderate-growing to 10 feet high, 6 feet wide.
