EROSION AND SEDIMENT CONTROL/POND PLAN RETENTION POLICY

It is the policy of the Washington County Soil Conservation District to retain Standard Erosion and Sediment Control Plans for minor earth disturbances (less than or equal to 15,000 square feet or 500 cubic yards), and Standard Erosion and Sediment Control Plans for Forest Harvest Operations for a period of 5 years after approval.

Erosion and sediment control plans for earth disturbances greater than 15,000 square feet or 500 cubic yards of excavation or fill will be retained until the 2-year expiration, when dead filed by the Maryland Department of the Environment or submitted for a revision and/or a 2-year update.

Pond construction plans and as‑built plans will be retained by the District indefinitely. The District will only maintain the plan portion of the file. The computations and correspondence will be destroyed after as-built approval.
